Oregonian Jeff Jones’s fabled titanium H-Bar is renowned as much for its unusual looks as its superlative comfort. Titec’s more affordable aluminium version uses a similar design, shifting your arms more to the side and taking the pressure off your wrists.
It’s a position that only takes a couple of rides before it becomes second nature, and one that works particularly well for mountain bike touring.
Unfortunately though, there’s no room for a bar bag and the design means standard Rapidfire shifters aren’t suitable. Shimano’s Dual Control levers work best – V-brake compatible versions are available.
