Good performing stem, but there are cheaper options out there

The all-new Atlas FR direct mount stem is worth checking out if you enjoy fiddling with your bike setup and have a RockShox Boxxer, Fox 40 or Manitou Dorado triple clamp fork.

Handily, it’s drilled so you can flip it over and run it with either 50mm or 30mm of reach. It’s cut from a single lump of 6061 aluminium and weighs 162g, so it’s neither exceptionally light nor heavy.

The interlocking clamp design is good and the chunky 5mm bolts save any nasty rounding-out incidents. It’s not cheap though, and for an extra £10 you can go for the Sl lightweight version, which offers a cut-down face plate and titanium hardware.
