Fizik Aliante Gamma Ti review

Fizik Aliante Gamma Ti review

Fi'zi:k's standard Aliante is a high tech minimalist race seat, but the Gamma adds a bit more comforting fat for trail use. The short length and broad upswept rear make it a single-position saddle rather than a slider and the rails aren't very long.

A light, comfy seat for the road or for trail use

Fizik's standard Aliante is a high tech minimalist race seat, but the Gamma adds a bit more comforting fat for trail use.

The short length and broad upswept rear make it a single-position saddle rather than a slider and the rails aren't very long. The extra padding and fibre-backed shell cut-out mix comfort and support well and the drooped nose gives extra comfort for hard climbs. You also get a good depth of flank for controlling the bike out of the saddle, and plastic scuff guards on all corners.

The forked back can catch on baggy shorts if you're off the rear though. The price is reasonable considering the low weight and technology used.
