Our review
Plenty of comfort on one of the best race saddles around

Since its debut, the Arione has become the racer's go-to throne. With a massive 300mm length and narrow dimensions, it's a superbly easy saddle to shift your weight around on.

Equally at home on race bikes and tri and TT machines, the Arione is first choice for some of our testers – even for big endurance rides – such is the nature of its comfortable, flexible hull and quality padding.

The Arione isn't for everyone though. Some found the long flat expanse difficult to settle on in a comfortable position, even with the central suede stripe on the whole length offering some welcome purchase on Lycra shorts.

The other issue is the outlay – for a Cr-Mo railed saddle, even one this good, it's rather a lot of money.
