Designed specifically for time triallists, Smanie’s Tri-Race saddle offers plenty of comfort while keeping itself down to a trim and race-worthy 226g. With a large degree of cushioning focused at the nose of the saddle, it’s purpose-built for rides where you spend the majority of your time perched over the tri-bars in an aerodynamic position.
Even when riding in that style over longer distances the Tri-Race provides a good degree of comfort. Smanie haven’t adopted the ribbed top surface seen on Prologo’s recent time trial saddles, but the Tri-Race’s microfibre covering didn’t prove particularly prone to the age-old problem of forward slippage during our tests.
