Our review
Reasonably reliable, serviceable dropper post with loads of colour, fit and remote options

The KS posts have been our favourite adjustables for a few years and they still offer better reliability and more options than most. The 950i is the latest, lightest post and the hydraulic innards mean you can stop the saddle anywhere you want in the deep 125mm stroke. The twin side-by-side bolt seat clamp gives a proper amount of layback too.

While it develops slight play over time it’s better sealed and so more reliable than all but the Gravity Dropper and RockShox posts. If it does get to the point where it needs a bum thump to get it moving, servicing is simple enough and gives good results as long as you don’t use too much sticky grease. It also has a two-year warranty. The price here includes the £55 remote kit (it’s £200 in manual format) and it’s the only post that comes with colour co-ordination kits (black, blue, gold, green or orange) for collar and cuff fans.

The remote lever also cleverly acts as the end collar for ODI-style lock-on grips, so it syncs well onto the bars once you’ve angled the shifters to suit. While regular cleaning of the actuator lever and cable is needed to keep it smooth and reliable, the slotted mounts make that easier.
