Beautifully made, with the most user-friendly and versatile clamp available, but not cheap

Best known for their cockpit gear, Syntace also produce this simple but beautifully effective seatpost.

At 230g (400 x 31.6mm) it’s not the lightest post around, but the deep-ribbed cold-forged head anchors into the carbon shaft, making it tough enough for mountain bike use or bigger-boned bodies.

The Extended Rail Support cradle means enough fore and aft saddle adjustment to mimic an inline or layback post and it can be reversed for a steeper seat angle.

The twin 5mm angled bolts make perfect angling a cinch and the shaft is marked for accurate rebuilding, while a glossy external finish keeps it looking good long-term.

The T6 comes in a useful range of lengths and diameters (280, 350, 400. 27.2, 30.9, 31.6, 34.9mm) too. However, while it’s fantastic to use, combining quality and carbon doesn’t come cheap.
