Our review
A little known gem for all-mountain riders, not nutters

Geax tyres have been have been simmering quietly in the background for many years, and the DHEA TNT tyre is their new all-mountain model. The tyre profile and tread is nothing revolutionary, with lateral ramped paddles in the centre to roll efficiently and give good traction under braking.

The linear side knobs are fairly well supported and give a predictable grip when the bike is leaning over. So, not revolutionary, but still effective.

The quality 120tpi casing makes it very supple, translating into more grip, and combines well with the 50a compound to hook up nicely.

The sidewall casing is quite thin, which can lead to the tyre folding over on the rim in hard turns and skew-whiff landings. The unsupporting sidewalls do mean that it is definitely in the light all-mountain category – they can’t cope when you’re properly hooning around on them.
