24Seven Supercross review

If you want burly wheels on a reasonable budget, then 24Seven's Supercross are as punishment proven as they get. The double-walled Alex DM24 rims are a seriously fat 32mm section to plump out fat tyres nicely.

Seriously tough, well-priced wheelset, but very heavy

If you want burly wheels on a reasonable budget, then 24Seven's Supercross are as punishment-proven as they get.

The double-walled Alex DM24 rims are a seriously fat 32mm section to plump out fat tyres nicely and they have a machined braking surface with an inset wear indicator.

They're properly long drop/dirt jump proof and 24in versions are also available. Thirty six brass-nippled, 3-cross straight gauge spokes add failsafe strength and the rims are eyeleted to stop them pulling through. The hubs use well-sealed bearings, which have lasted fine on long term test sets and the freehub bodies are durable as long as you keep them clean and well greased.

They come in 20mm or QR axle front, plus QR, 12mm thru axle, 9mm bolted axle rear and 10mm bolted singlespeed versions too, so they'll fit most hardcore bikes, but hefty weight means they're not suited to all-round biking.
