Atomlab Trailpimp DHR review

Atomlab Trailpimp DHR review

Atomlab's Trailpimp wheelsets have a serious strength reputation. The DHR rims have a lower, thinner box-section construction to reduce the flat spot/dent problems of the original.

Super tough dirt jumping wheels, but you need to take care of the freehub

Atomlab's Trailpimp wheelsets have a serious strength reputation, so we had to feature one, even if they're being upgraded shortly to the new Pimp sets.

The DHR rims have a lower, thinner box-section construction to reduce the flat spot/dent problems of the original Trailpimps, but they've still got a largely indestructible reputation on the trails.

They're V or disc brake compatible too. The unique staggered spoke design increases wheel stiffness and the neat machined hubs are plenty strong, although the freehub hasn't got the best reliability reputation so you need to look after it carefully. The hubs are available in 24 or 26in versions, although only with 20mm front and through-axle rear hub compatibility.
