Outstanding precision, responsiveness and visceral feedback without harshness Buy if, You want a speed, grip and grin boosting plus wheelset

Pros:

Lightweight agility, fantastic balance of feedback and flow

Cons:

Expensive (but worth it)

DT Swiss’s Spline family is smashing it in every category right now and these wider wheels are in a completely different league to other plus wheels we’ve tried, making them well worth the extra cost.

While the numbers are certainly good, there’s way more to the performance of these wheels than just low weight in all the right places.

Tubeless inflation is blissfully easy — the tyres are neither a fight to fit or so loose they burp under hard cornering, which is lucky as they beg you to bar-drag and drift every corner or cut hard and late well inside the comfortable arc of the other baggier wheels on test.

Straight-pull spokes in small block flanges create rock solid power delivery and braking, while they’re a joy to flick about on the trail rather than just rolling along flaccidly.

Despite their scalpel sharp turning precision they don’t punish your palms or stutter across the trail surface either. The result is a wheel that feels as accurate and responsive as a top quality 29er wheel, but with all the ragged terrain rollover and stalling speed advantages of a plus set-up.
