Unbelievably good performance and great looks for the price

Crossride is an all-new wheelset for 2006, and it's already proving a huge success. You'd certainly not think they were a budget set. The mid-width 24mm rim gives good support for fat tyres and solid stiffness overall. It's got a wear marked, machined braking surface too, so you can also use V-brakes until you buy discs. Rim tape is also included but it's not tubeless ready. Incredibly for the price, you get stainless steel, blade profile spokes which look absolutely fantastic.

The brass nippled, 2-cross, 24 spoke front/ rear pattern has also stayed totally tight and true throughout testing. The hubs are Mavic's well-proven and pimpy straight pull flange design. The bearings are fully adjustable, with excellent seals and a steel reinforced mechanism in the FTS-L freehub that we already know lasts for years, and you get a set of decent steel axled QR skewers included too, making them remarkable value for money.
