Our review
Super-tight, light and seriously strong wheels with versatility and heat dispersion

Mavic’s superb EX721 rims have a 29mm width, so the fattest tyres can roll, but they’re still amazingly strong. Their race-friendly weight is a bonus.

Meanwhile, Hope SPAM-4 hubs are super-reliable and give outstanding straight-pull spoke stiffness. And the increased heat dispersion and reduced warping of the unique four-bolt rotors is useful in downhill/alpine situations.

Whichever sized rotors you want are included in the price (as well as rim tape and spare spokes) and the weight they save makes for an impressively agile race/all-mountain wheel.

The slim-bodied 150mm version is no stiffer than the 135mm though, and we’d recommend the tougher steel freehub for powerful riders.
