We had these wheels built by our local bike shop (cheers Pete at Psyclosport - +44 (0)1423 545413), but the bits are worth it.
Sun's MTX camo rims are heavy duty with an excellent strength and reliability reputation, and the broad 34mm width handles even the fattest tyres. We went for a fail-safe build of 36 plain gauge spokes, but the hubs and rims used here are available with 32 holes too.
We're impressed by the new Ringlé Demon large-flange hubs - the 20mm axle spacers benefit from thread lock for security but otherwise they're smooth, well sealed and tight running. You can choose between 135 or 150mm hub widths and, at just £49.95 for a front hub and £89.95 for a rear model, they're good value.
