Impressive dual action pump that's easy to use

This pump is both a carbon dioxide inflator and a hand pump. Just 185mm long (7in) and weighing 70g (150g including the CO2 cartridge and mount), it’s hardly noticeable in a rear pocket, and you can store the threaded cartridge in the handle, which makes hand pumping easier.

It’s simple to use: screw the cartridge in place, push the nozzle onto a Presta valve, then back the cartridge off to control the airflow. You can buy different sized cartridges but the 16g one can get a 700x23c tyre up to about 130psi; two will set you back £4.50.

The hand pump function is a back-up feature but it does a sound job. The air chamber is small though, so you’d better be ready to sweat.

There’s an aluminium version for £19.99, and a 300mm (12in) version of our carbon wrap model for £39.99.
