Pedro's Super Prestige Pump review

The Super Prestige is Pedro's top-line track pump, although there's little to separate it in performance terms from the cheaper Prestige version (£29.99).

A solid track pump - it inflates well, it's stable and it's well made at a good price

The Super Prestige is Pedro's top-line track pump, although there's little to separate it in performance terms from the cheaper Prestige version (£29.99).

The wooden handle and the intelligent Presta/Schrader valve head are justified improvements that should yield better longevity, but the pump action isn't the quickest we've experienced. The Super Prestige is rated up to 160psi, although in practice for most mountain bikers, 60psi is plenty, which this pump achieves just fine.

The asymmetric base is stable - making way for the off-set pressure gauge to sit to the left of the barrel - and the gauge itself is easy to read. It's not the cheapest option going but it's certainly not the most expensive. It is, however, well thought out and dependable even if it doesn't offer quick-fire speed pumping.
