The body of the 20 is constructed of stainless steel, as well as the tools, and it’s really nicely put together which gives a high quality and substantial feel.
The body is about as large as you’d want to go without becoming unwieldy but it gives a firm base, and the tools themselves are solid to use. They aren’t very long, which helps their rigidity but, combined with the size of the chassis, can make things tricky if you have any tight corners.
The Stainless 20 gets bonus points for having a dedicated disc brake pad separator. The disappointment is the chain tool: it doesn’t separate away and using the body as a handle makes operation awkward – and the plates don’t hold the chain as securely as they might.
The specification is otherwise very good and it comes in a range of covetable colours, but we’d rather see it without a chain tool rather than this lacklustre effort.
