The Galibiers employ Mavic’s quirky forefoot Ergostraps, using nylon cords and Velcro fastenings that, together with the ankle ratchet strap, give an adjustable, secure fit.
The sculpted ankle, heel cup and 2D insole are comfy and stable, while the synthetic uppers provide great support but still incorporate large cooling mesh sections. The tongue is well ventilated, and though you can feel its neoprene lip against your ankles, you quickly get used to it.
With a carbon-reinforced nylon and glass fibre sole, the Galibiers are race worthy – and instantly comfortable too.
