We can't fault these shoes for comfort, support or efficiency

The classy Wire’s Tour-winning credentials are obvious. Well sculpted, tough synthetic leather uppers are riddled with large perforations, adding to the cooling effect from tongue and mid sole mesh vents, and a toe vent, which can be fixed open or closed.

The adjustable external heel cup is highly supportive with a well-cushioned perforated lining, and the fairly simple footbed does a decent job.

Sidi’s Techno 3 wire fastening system uses a pair of flip up rotary dials, one for the forefoot and the other for the ankle, which are released by a two finger pinch, giving simple fine tension adjustment.

The wide pad at the ankle can be centred for comfort, and the overall effect is about the most evenly adjusting shoe out there with no discomfort or pinching, enabling you to force every watt of energy through the girder-stiff carbon sole.
