Attaquer is well known now for its left-field limited edition kit designs and the eleventh season is no different.
Paying homage to eight historical sporting teams, people and moments, the collection includes designs inspired by Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher’s dominance with Ferrari, Andre Agassi’s ‘iconic neo fluro get-up’, New York Knicks NBA legend Patrick Ewing, Italian football giants Juventus and the Sydney 2000 Olympic marshalls.
"We live and breathe cycling, but we’re also passionate about all things sport," says Attaquer co-founder Greg Hamer. "For this range we wanted to look back at the pivotal moments that have shaped our love for sport over the years. Combining these iconic moments into one range had us reminiscing and we wanted others to feel that same hit of nostalgia."
Made in Italy, the kit is constructed with an ultra-breathable, moisture wicking material, with mesh side panel inserts in the jersey and added compression in the shorts.
The limited edition range is Attaquer's eleventh since launching in 2012 and each has been as wild as the last from the renegade Australians. Despite the high price, each set sells out rapidly and is in very limited runs.
Stevan Musulin, who also co-founded the brand added: "These collections give us the opportunity to go way beyond the confines of what is expected within cycling kit design. We get to experiment with things we like, and love seeing people’s reactions each season."
The kit is priced at a slightly eye stinging £229 / AU$369.95 and the eight limited edition designs include:
- Grand Slam
- Pole Position
- Alley Oop
- Instant Replay
- Opening Ceremony
- Track and Field
We’re torn between Pole Position and Grand Slam as our favourite, and a little upset there is no recognition of Fulham Football Club’s glorious Europa League run to the final in 2010, but let us know yours — and your favourite sporting moments — in the comments below.
