Our review
Soft, supple and grippy, and good value too

Specialized’s Turbo Pro is an impressive all-round performer with better longevity and value than the top-flight S-Works Turbo.

The weight is very good and the dual-compound rubber means it rolls well too, particularly on smoother surfaces. We also found that it corners predictably in all weathers and surfaces.

Its Black Belt puncture protection doesn’t seem to work that well, but it’s easy to fit and remove by hand.

While the 23mm version is a little small and can feel stiff on rougher surfaces, the 25mm model gives more cushioning and comfort without compromising performance noticeably.

All this and a good price too.
