A light wheelset with a hard anodised 30mm deep rim, a machined braking surface and an almost seamless joint.
You also get a wear indicator to tell you when the rims are worn out. Black DT Competition double-butted spokes (16 at the front, 20 at the rear) are laced up tight to small but well formed hubs with silky smooth bearings inside. The result of these impressive parts is a pretty straight set of wheels. Out on the road the performance is way above what you'd expect for the price; they're a bargain. They accelerate quickly yet are stable at speed - exactly what you want. The bearings can be removed and replaced, although it's not an easy job.
