HED Cycling in conjunction with the CPSC has issued a recall for Ardennes Black and Jet Black rims. The rims can cause the brake pads to wear out unexpectedly, which could pose a crash hazard to the rider.

Approximately 380 rims manufactured between January 1, 2016 and March 15, 2016 are included in this recall. The rims were sold at authorized HED dealers from January 2016 to March 2016. This recall does not apply to the disc brake versions of these wheelsets.

Owners can determine if their rims are affected by this recall by checking the serial number, which is printed near the valve hole. Rims with serial numbers beginning with 0116, 0216 and 0316 are included in this recall.

Owners should immediately stop using the recalled rims and contact HED Cycling for replacement instructions.

HED Cycling can be reached by calling 1-888-246-3639 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT Monday through Friday, or online at www.HedCycling.com. Click on the “Recall Notice” button for more information.
