Vaude Dundee II Zip review

We're sneaking the Dundee II in here… it’s actually a jacket with zip-off sleeves. This gives you the protection of a jacket and the flexibility to whip off the sleeves too, at a reasonable price.

The Dundee is fully polyester without any mesh ventilation on the back, so it's warmer and heavier than the other gilets. It's also cut rather generously, which is handy for layering and lends a versatile, more casual look for travel wear. It does mean it's a bit droopy and flappy on the bike - look elsewhere if you want a close fit. The finish is superb with an easy-pull zip and windproof stormflap, zipper garage under the chin, two reflective logos, elastic pull toggles at the hem, one big rear pocket and two discrete front pockets.
