Great functionality and style in a durable, well-priced jacket

When you're going to be out all day, there's a strong chance of a minimum of 10-too-many map-reading breaks and at least one puncture at the most exposed spot on your route. Happily, Altura is getting very, very good at producing the sort of jacket to suit events just such as these, and the Attack 360 is becoming something of a classic.

Made from a three-layer waterproof, the Attack 360 is a sturdily built jacket, but thanks to lighter insert panels at strategic points (at the elbow for example) it feels supple rather than heavy. It rides lighter than it feels at any rate.

Torrential showers have proved no match for its protective qualities – the generous over-helmet hood helps with that, as do the snug, reassuringly cosy inner cuffs which emphasise the well-cut shape of the arms.

The Attack 360 is durable and waterproof

It's solidly specced too. The front is neat and the jacket dips low at the back. There's also a good collar shape under your chin when the hood is down. So quiet is the design we assumed it was a simpler pocket-free style, but in fact it has two generous front pockets and one at the back too.

We wouldn't call this jacket cheap, and it's not as breathable as other jackets, but the Attack 360 combines such great performance and well-observed detail we don't hesitate to call it value for money.
