A compact, simple rack, the EBC Revolution Shuttle folds with two quick release levers, is well made and – because it’s constructed out of oversized aluminium – is extremely lightweight.
Six straps hold it firmly in place and there’s no trace of movement. The cradles are made from hard plastic and quite big, meaning most frames require padding to prevent movement, and their rubber tie-downs need stretching for a tight fit.
Also, the inner bike frame touches a strap buckle, and the pedal can contact the boot on some cars, so more padding is needed there.
Up to 45kg can be carried, and the price is fantastic value.
