Trek ACH Digital computer £99.99

Interference-resistant wireless computer

BikeRadar score4/5

The 2.4Ghz frequency of this computer is much narrower than that commonly found in wireless computers, and as such is less susceptible to interference and 'cross-talk' from other sources, such as metal to metal rubbing or movement (think wheel bearings for instance) which give off radio frequency 'noise'.

It also requires shorter antennae, and for the same power consumption as a comparable standard wireless system it also has a slightly better range. That's the techy bit covered - so how does it work as a computer for a bike?

The answer is very well. The display is easy to read, and the assorted configurations of display information are all user-friendly and never leave you wanting. The updates are quick, and we couldn't get anything to interfere with it at all. Speed and cadence sensors are quite small and easy to fit, they're well sealed and it's easy to change the batteries. Pair up the heart rate monitor chest strap, switch on, and away you go.

Considering this has over 20 functions, a neat backlight that works well and is an overall quality bit of kit, the price isn't bad at all.
