Cannondale CyPod review

Most panniers aren't so practical off the bike. Cannondale's CyPod is a funky pannier that morphs into a briefcase. 14.4 litres in capacity, it features a computer sleeve that's padded on one side.

Functional, stylish and easy to use - but best for smooth roads

Most panniers aren't so practical off the bike. Cannondale's CyPod is a funky pannier that morphs into a briefcase.

14.4 litres in capacity, it features a computer sleeve that's padded on one side, a main mesh compartment, a shoulder strap and a waterproof raincover that zips away neatly. A comfortable carrying handle on the top morphs you into office mode without further ado.

Best of all though is the Rixen-Kaul KlickFix: a simple and secure mount that folds away discreetly, so there's nothing to rub against your legs when carrying the bag. We wouldn't recommend using the CyPod on rough paths, particularly with a computer, as there're no stabilizing hooks. Note the pannier clips can't be adjusted in width - check that it fits your rack first. Its compact size will just take a 14in laptop, lunch and a few extra layers. Reflective piping rounds it off.
