Technically this is a base layer, but we often use it as a jersey, pairing it with a light gilet for warm evening rides. Because it’s made from a beefy base fabric, you don’t feel as though you’re out in your underwear.
It wicks superbly, with mesh underarm vents to aid the cooling process, and combined with the properly long length and accommodating cut, is completely unrestrictive.
The flat-locked seams make it comfortable to wear under a pack or when layering up when you do use it as a base in the colder months. If we’re being picky we’d have liked it to have a chin guard, but overall this is a great top that’s versatile through all the seasons.
