Cannondale Midweight women's jersey review

The deceptively simple Cannondale Midweight womens jersey has a whole host of stylish details. For starters there's a pretty leafy print on the inside collar with matching embroidery on the centre back pocket.

Good first layer for active riders

The deceptively simple Cannondale Midweight womens jersey has a whole host of stylish details. For starters there's a pretty leafy print on the inside collar with matching embroidery on the centre back pocket. >Cuffs and collar are finished off with attractive piping and the pieced construction (with raglan sleeves) lends a fitted shape, as well as allowing free arm movement. The ChannelTex Plus fabric also stretches in all directions, so it's not restrictive even though the jersey has a close, body hugging fit.

It works best as a first layer and fits easily under a jacket on cold days. On its own, it suits cool weather and active rides - wicking is good, it doesn't remain soggy and the 10in zip provides enough ventilation.

The dropped tail covers you on the bike but the three pockets could be bigger. Details such as a hidden zipped pocket and reflectives are excellent but take care with the fabric; we noticed some pilling after just a few rides and washes.
