Scott Sky jersey £59.99

Short-sleeved women's specific top

BikeRadar score 3.5/5

The short-sleeved Scott Sky jersey is little more than a technical T-shirt with a zipped back pocket, although one so flimsy you wouldn’t put more than a spare pair of brake pads in there. But it’s not trying to be anything different, and it’s bright, cheery and remarkably well fitted as a women’s specific top.

The seams coming from the armpit cut across the front of your body, pulling the waist into a nice fitted shape. The panels move with you, and it just seems to sit in the right place, whether you’re climbing, dancing around on the descents or throwing weights around in the gym.

The purple contrast panel around the neck and down the arms is flattering, and the back has a dropped tail that isn’t so dramatic as to look daft off the bike but keeps your lower back well covered during pedalling.

The material is a broad-weave wicking technical fibre that never seems to get wet no matter how much you sweat, making the top excellent as a base layer under other jerseys as well as a summer-weight layer on its own. Best of all, the colour is kick-ass bright, and clashes beautifully with Scott’s other products in this range. The pink isn’t sickly, but rather projects a great ‘don’t mess with me’ femininity.
