Great quality, features and looks - definitely worth the asking price

Cannondale's partnership with Diadora is starting to turn out some very impressive shoes. A whole new range for 2007, the RP2100 certainly turns on the European flair and race styling. Although £125 is by no means cheap, it is actually a reasonable price for a shoe with such quality, features and styling.

Made in Italy, the shoe has a typically snug European shape, but thankfully the RP2100 is available in a regular and wide toe box option should you feel the pinch. The contoured soul is made from a hardwearing TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) outer with a carbon skeleton lining the cleat and midsole for pedalling stiffness. The Micro closure bracket is one of the best we've used and feels very substantial, with a smooth, positive action. The dual composite heel cup grips well and the low profile uppers feature metal meshed air panels. The inners are fully lined to wick sweat as well as hide all the stitching.
