Sturdily built and packed with features, the Endura Hummvees are very good value for money but fairly heavy.
The triple-stitched ripstop nylon outer shrugs off all kinds of abuse while a springy yoke panel improves the fit and adjustable Velcro tabs make useful draught excluders.
You get six pockets including two water-resistant ones at the back that are big enough to take an Ordnance Survey map. The elasticated waist comes with a webbing belt so fit is taken care of.
Although positioned on the outside of your legs, the zipped side vents do a decent job of channelling fresh air inside – handy as the heaviness means the atmosphere can get muggy when you’re working hard.
That’s partly down to the liner that’s effectively a full-length pair of six-panel Lycra-esque shorts. The leg grippers do a fine job though, and the stretchy Coolmax pad wicks well. Not the coolest option, but an extremely hard working pair of shorts, especially considering the price.
