Kona 1319 Shorts review£40.00

Retro chic

These pinstripe shorts are part of Kona’s casual line, so have no aspirations of being a technical garment. That said, Kona hasn’t skimped on what’s required from a pair of baggy-fit riding shorts.

The 100% polyester fabric is lightweight and breathable, and lined with a thicker fabric around the contact points that adds a little extra comfort and wear-resistance. Ideally, though, you’d combine these with padded undershorts for longer rides.

The 1319s are cut just above the knee in the style of flat-fronted jeans and there’s a handy coin pocket to stop your shrapnel from shaking around.

Finally, the DayGlo logos add a touch of Eighties retro chic. Style-wise we love these and they’re ideal for riding in.
