De Marchi Pure Classic women's shorts review

Sometimes all a girl needs is just a simple pair of black Lycra shorts that will go with her jersey, whatever the colour.

Nothing too fancy or expensive, just a pair of shorts with a female-specific fit, a good, close-fitting pad, a high back to stop drafts and sensibly designed gel grippers that stop the material from riding up your legs.

This is exactly what De Marchi have achieved in their design of these Pure Classic shorts. We'd have preferred a wider waistband – especially around the front of the shorts – because it tended to dig in slightly, but this is only a minor negative point in what are a fine pair of shorts.
