And when they're on, they feel like the closest thing to cycling naked you could get!
They're so shimmery and smooth that it takes a bit of wiggling to pull them up, but once on, they disappear. The pad is surprisingly wide through the centre, and there's a substantial amount of padding in different thicknesses - the seat bones being particularly well protected.
But while riding I didn't notice the inner wings at all, not one bit of interference. The mesh isn't see-through (though these form huggers aren't for the shy) and provides a bit of heat relief. Silicon leg grippers hold securely and there's the signature yellow band in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
The only criticism is that you've got to be careful not to snag the material.
