The QS Ergo levers were received with mixed feelings by a lot of Campagnolo fans. Many believed that the company was trying to tone down the positive shifting action to become more like Shimano's buttery smooth and almost silent lever movement.
We were happy after our first rides with it, as it was clear Campy wasn't toning things down, but rather refining them to allow quicker shifting. Centaur Ergo shifters are the same shape as every other Campy Ergo, including Record, and it's a shape a lot of riders like.
Aesthetically many people prefer the look of Ergo levers compared to the almost Seventies joystick-like looks of, say, Shimano's Dura-Ace. Unchanged for 2008, the Centaur levers are excellent quality and have proven to be reliable with very low wear rates.
Virtually identical in many ways to Chorus, and offering the feel and shifting action similar to Record, these are a little gem in Campy's Ergo lever line-up.
