Merida Carbon review

Although Merida's Carbon fork is 15mm shorter than the industry norm, it comes with a hollow 15mm aluminium spacer that you can slide on to the steerer base to lift it, reinstating suspension-corrected geometry.

A good looking alternative to the aluminium crowned options.

Without the spacer it would be good for an older frame made for rigid or very short travel suspension forks. It's a good looking fork with full carbon blades and big-sleeved aluminium dropouts. We really like the double-braced top, which keeps steering noticeably precise and fills the big gap above the tyre on many suspension-corrected rigid forks. It weighs almost the same as Pace's RC31 but costs a bit more.
