PRO Koryak riser bar review£40.00

Impressively stiff performer

BikeRadar score3.5/5

This bargain bar is an impressively stiff performer. It uses a 2000 series alloy rather than 6000 or 7000 series metal, but that gives it a price advantage. You get two-tone laser-etched graphics, including central angle and centring marks. You’ll have to measure any tip trimming yourself, but most riders probably won’t chop the control and tree clearance-friendly 27in span.

Shape wise it’s in line with most bars of a similar width, falling easily to hand for all our testers. The PRO is no heavier than more expensive alloy bars and the deflection figures on our lab machine were stiffer than most comparable bars in alloy or carbon. It did feel very rigid on the trail, with little shock or buzz dispersion on rocky or frozen trails, but fat gloves and good grips will help.
