The first Kona Mash-Up of 2010 takes place at Glyncorrwyg Mountain Bike Centre, AfanForest on 12 June.

Now in its third season, the Mash-Up powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport combines timed and un-timed stages on the best sections of the White’s Level and July trails.

Some sections have electronic timing, others are timed manually and the black run that starts at the top of the climb has fibre optic live timing.

There’ll be two categories to chose from – Enduro or Technical. Enduro riders will tackle 40km of downhill, trail and cross-country riding. They’ll be timed on a total of five sections, ranging from climbs to downhill singletrack.

Technical riders will ride all sections of the course but will only be timed on the special singletrack stage and downhill sections. Riding (or pushing) up the climbs will not be included in their result.

There will be prizes for the overall winner in each category as well as for every timed section. Entry fee is £30 in advance, with a £5 surcharge for on-the-day payment.
