After addressing the needs of gravity fiends with their new X0 DH groupset, SRAM have turned to the all-mountain/trail contingent, for whom they've developed a new 2x10 chainguide, chainrings and front derailleurs.

Truvativ X-Guide

Produced for SRAM by MRP, the X-Guide has been designed specifically for 2x10 drivetrains. There's no need for a top guide if you're running a front derailleur so instead there's just a (sealed) bottom pulley and a honeycomb plastic skid plate at the front.

Internet rumours suggest there may be two jockey wheels in the bottom roller – one lined up with each chainring, with the chain able to skip between the two – but that's not clear from SRAM's official pictures.

The X-Guide is claimed to weigh just 155g. It can be mounted on the bottom bracket or via ISCG or ISCG 05 tabs, and has captive hardware. There's no word yet on pricing. It'll be available in black or white.

Other 2x10 components

Also new for 2x10 users are chainrings in 36/22, 38/24, 39/26 and 42-28T pairings, plus compatible SRAM X0 and X7 front derailleurs. (The 38/24 option is aimed at 29er riders.) An all-mountain bashguard is available as well.
