The annual Tour de Presteigne electric bike show takes place this weekend (7/8 May) in the Welsh Marches town of Presteigne. Billed as the ‘world’s premier electric bike rally’, it’s been running since 1996.

This year, exhibitors include Storck, Raleigh and E-Motion. The weekend kicks off at 9.30am on Saturday with a guided, leisurely 50-mile ride into the Welsh hills, followed by an evening of music in the nearby Duke's Arms.

The bike show itself starts on Sunday at 10am, when ebikes will be available to test out and buy. Events on Sunday include a more competitive 10-mile orienteering challenge at 2pm, where riders have to find three local landmarks and race back to the start.

At 4.30pm, the Tour de Presteigne itself, which is open to both electric and non-electric bikes, takes place around the closed streets of the town. For more information about the event, which is hosted by OnBike and based at the Workhouse Gallery and Café on Presteigne Industrial Estate, visit the Tour de Presteigne website.
