The first collection from Mark Cavendish's own brand CVNDSH has been launched in collaboration with his bicycle sponsor Specialized. The collection ranges from clothing to shoes to special edition bikes and even bar tape.
The major theme is green, as you'd expect from the Manx man who has made the tour's sprinters jersey his own racking up 25 stage victories in his career so far.
The CVNDSH collection is more than merely a famous name tagged onto standard clothing from Specialized's range, Cavendish explained. “The bottom line is that the pieces are just so, so good,” he said.
“It isn’t just my name on a jersey – because I’ll never do that. I believe in the equipment, I personally helped design them with the team and I believe in the ability they have to help a rider be the fastest they can be,” Cavendish concluded.
Specialized's founder Mike Sinyard added: “Having a rider as dynamic and prolific as Mark collaborate with us on a collection like this is the epitome of what we are all about here at Specialized. We have always been focused on providing riders with products that provide real benefits, and having a rider of Mark’s calibre so closely linked with this project has helped to do just that.”
