This morning, organisers opened the online entry ballot for riders hoping to take part in the 2014 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, set to take place on Sunday 10 August next year.
This year, more than 50,000 people applied for one of 20,000 places on the ride, and competition for spots in next year’s event is expected to be even hotter. However, event organisers London Marathon said the ballot will close automatically when 80,000 applications have been received.
