Our review
A sleek, well made pump that does its job superbly

Made from cast aluminium, the slim footrests of the Syncros pump form a swept back V-shape, with the pressure gauge forming the third point of a triangle and adding stability. A slim aluminium air chamber and serviceable fittings means it should last years.

The chunky T-shaped aluminium handle has a curved underside with machined grooves to increase grip, and feels great. The foot rests are well positioned and comfortable. It’s 67cm tall, but the inflator head is stored on the front of the barrel and is easily to hand.

Rather than a locking lever, the Syncros has a neat T-shaped colour-coded aluminium unit that rotates within a tough plastic collar to screw on to Presta and Schrader valves. It takes longer to attach and detach, but the design offers added security, with the head unable to blow off of short valve stems under pressure.

The 43in rubber hose helped inflate our tyre to 100psi in 18 strokes, and although the action isn’t that smooth, with a slightly jerky feeling at each end of the stroke, there was no air loss. Maximum pressure is 200psi, and the scale easy to read.
