Bianchi and bike tour specialist Thomson have joined forces to create a world-class Italian cycling experience that will take place in Lombardy next May.

The Lombardia powered by Bianchi tour is an eight day, seven night trip taking riders through northern Italy’s cycling paradise. Guests will challenge themselves on the iconic routes of the Giro d’Italia and Giro di Lombardia on a top-of-the-line Bianchi bike: the highly acclaimed Infinito CV with Countervail vibration cancelling technology.

Guests will be welcomed with a Bianchi gift bag, full Bianchi Reparto Corse kit and Infinito CV bike to ride for the week-long event. Riders will also have the opportunity to take part in the 2015 Granfondo Bianchi-Gimondi in Bergamo on day two, which offers 89, 128 and 162km routes.

In addition to enjoying the breathtaking panoramas of some of the most heralded roads and climbs in international cycling, guests will enjoy Italy’s rich culture and renowned food and wine, as well as being treated to an exclusive Bianchi factory tour and a VIP dinner at the brand new Bianchi Cafe & Cycles Milano.

Other highlights will include riders testing themselves against the infamous Muro di Sormano – 'The Wall' – and visiting Madonna del Ghisallo, the legendary cycling church and museum; crossing the Italian border to stay in and explore luxurious Lugano, the Monte Carlo of Switzerland; riding the training routes of Alberto Contador and Vincenzo Nibali to discover why they have chosen Lugano as their training base; and the chance to live it up on Lake Como during a two-day stay in beautiful Bellagio.
