The Tour de France is looming large on the horizon, with the Grand Départ taking place in Barcelona, Spain, this week ahead of Saturday's first stage. Can anyone challenge Tadej Pogačar as the all-conquering Slovenian targets a fifth Tour de France victory?

UAE Team Emirates-XRG has announced the line-up of riders to support Pogačar, fresh from dominating the Tour de Suisse, through July, with star domestiques Isaac del Toro, winner of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Adam Yates part of the eight-man roster.

“The Tour de France is always the biggest challenge of the season and also the race that motivates us the most. Every year, you arrive at the start knowing that anything can happen over three weeks, and that’s what makes it so special," said Pogačar, who will also be supported by Felix Großschartner, Brandon McNulty, Nils Politt, Florian Vermeersch and Tim Wellens.

“We’ve prepared really well as a team, everyone has worked incredibly hard, and now we’re excited to finally get started in Barcelona.

“I feel good, I’m looking forward to racing, and I know I’ll have a fantastic group of teammates and staff around me. We have a lot of confidence in each other and have built up a lot of experience together over the years.

Victory for Pogačar is far from a done deal, of course, and the 27-year-old will face the sternest test from two-time winner Jonas Vingegaard and double Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel. Meanwhile, teenage star Paul Seixas will carry the hopes of the French nation in his debut at cycling's greatest race.

Tour de France team announcements are coming in thick and fast, and we've included all of the confirmed squads in this preview – alongside all of the need-to-know team information ahead of the 2026 race. We'll update this page as more teams are revealed.

This year's Tour de France route starts with a 19.6km team time trial, ensuring every rider needs to arrive on the start line in prime condition. This is the first TTT at the Tour since 2019 and, with an uphill finish (800m at 7%) to Barcelona's Olympic Stadium, it's also an opportunity to gain time on rivals from the first flag.
