Best Black Friday bike tool deals
Shimano TL-CT12 SIS Cable Cutters – £59.99 £25.95 (save 57%)
Badly cut gear outer cable can significantly impact shift performance, and it's really easy to get wrong.
Cut out shifting question marks this Black Friday by using these Shimamo cable cutters, to keep your outers razor sharp.
There's a handle cable crimp crusher, and they'll cut inner gear cables without turning them into a frayed mess.
Park Tool Disc Brake Piston Press – £27.99 £20.95 (save 25%)
Brake piston resets should be a part of your general brake maintenance routine, especially if you want to get that lever feel bang-on.
But using snipe nose pliers, tyres levers or other tools can damage pistons, especially if they're made from fragile ceramic.
The brake piston press should reduce the chances of you doing damage to your expensive calipers, while making getting them feeling spot-on much easier.
Park Tool Stool – £149.99 £119.95 (save 20%)
Whether you go to your workshop sanctuary to actually maintain your bikes, or treat it as a place to go for some peace and quiet, there's nothing better than having a comfortable place to sit.
The wheeled Park Tool stool will not only help you whizz about between your bike and workbench without getting up, but it's also a great place to admire your rig and neck a cold one.
At 20 per cent off, it's certainly a compelling addition to the best home workshop setup.
Pro Torx key set – £29.99 £17.95 (save 40%)
Torx head bolts need extra care and attention when tightening; while their complicated shape should spread the load of tightening forces to reduce the likelihood of rounding them out, the reality is badly made and sized bolt heads, and inaccurate tools, can lead to more 'whoops' moments.
Limit those chances with a decent set of Torx keys, like these from Shimano's Pro subsidiary.
Gliding those disc rotor bolts out, or tightening that T25 brake lever clamp has never been easier.
Silca titanium 3D-printed chain whip – £240 £106.99 (save 55%)
The quality of Silca's tools is next-level, so this titanium 3D-printed chain whip is likely to be no exception.
Its 11in length should help you remove over-tightened cassettes from your freehub body, while the lightweight titanium construction will hopefully make it a pleasure to use.
A titanium-nitride coated 11-speed chain should resist corrosion and use. While it's officially only compatible with 11-speed drivetrains, there's a chance it will work with 12-speed or more systems.
Park Tool DS-1 digital scale – £83.68 £58.57 (20% off applied at basket, get an additional 10% off with code BF10 when you spend £30 or more)
This is the set of scales yours truly uses to weigh all of his BikeRadar and MBUK test bikes.
The digital display is easy to read and it can measure in both pounds and kilograms at the push of a button.
A hexagonal design means its body can be clamped in a workstand and the handy cord means it can also be hung from the ceiling. It's got a weight limit of 25kg.
Three AAA batteries are used to power it, but these aren't included in the price.
Park Tool TGG-1 sliding T-handle hex wrench set – £127.99 £89.59 (20% discount applied at the basket, get an additional 10% off with code BF10 when you spend £30 or more)
Never round out another of your bike's bolts thanks to this sliding T-handle Allen key set.
With sizes 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10mm, nearly every fixing on your bike will be covered by this comprehensive tool kit.
A 'speed spinner' makes undoing and tightening bolts with long threads light work, while chamfered tips make sliding the tool's head into your bolts mistake-free.
While on the one side, it's a usual Allen key design, at the other Park's 'twist gripper' should help remove bolts with heads that have been semi-rounded already, saving your bacon.
A wall mount will help prevent the set from going walkabout and keep your workshop tidy.
Park Tool PCS-10.3 Deluxe home mechanic repair stand – £299.99 £199 (save 34%)
Working on an upside-down bike can be a pain, so a proper bike repair stand is essential for any budding mechanic.
This discounted Park Tool PCS-10.3 is the Ferrari of workstands.
Its clamp is size-adjustable (from 22mm to 76mm) and has 360 degrees of rotation, plus it uses a cam to attach to your bike's seat tube securely. Its jaws are padded to avoid damaging the tube's surface.
It's got 480mm of height adjustment with a quick-release mechanism and is rated for bikes that weigh up to 36kg.
Powder-coated with a durable blue finish, its steel tubes are unlikely to rust any time soon.
Fumpa Pumps Fumpa electric bike pump – £139.99 £129 (save 7%)
Ideal for those looking to save time, the Fumpa Pumps Fumpa inflates your tyres with little to no effort on your behalf.
The electrically powered motor is supplied by a 550mAh battery and can inflate up to six tyres on a single charge.
Using its USB-C port, it can charge to 100 per cent in an hour.
It has a 120psi maximum pressure and is claimed to take a fully deflated 700x25c road bike tyre to 100psi in around 25 seconds.
While it's not quite a replacement for an air compressor, it's certainly a nice luxury to have in the workshop – or in the back of your car or van.
Muc-Off Rim Stix tyre levers – £4.99 £3.89 (save 22%)
Whether you're a seasoned expert or a newbie at fitting and removing tyres, the right set of tyre levers will help.
While metal ones are best for the toughest tyres out there, they can damage your rims.
Hardy plastic levers are the best compromise; they're strong enough to handle the most stubborn tyres but won't damage your expensive carbon rims when you lever the tyre on.
The nylon polymer Muc-Off levers are a great bed and a bargain at just under £4 – plus their colourful design will brighten up any workshop.
Silca chain waxing bundle – £180 £119 (save 34%)
Despite looking like a coffee machine – which every bicycle workshop should also have – this little contraption knocks up a very different fluid.
Using the chocolate-bar style blocks, the Silca chain waxing system heats the wax up in its pot, where you can then submerge your chain for the ultimate in lubrication goodness.
You've only got to ask my colleague Simon Von Bromley how important a waxed chain is to see how important this waxing system is.
At 34 per cent off, all those extra watts are practically a steal.
Finish Line dry chain lube (Teflon Plus) – £8.49 £4.25 (save 50%)
Waxing chain isn't for everyone, and dry lube like this Finish Line stuff is a great compromise.
Drying with a 'wax-like' film, it lubes your chain while helping keep it clean at the same time.
Its Teflon fluoropolymer lubricant is claimed to last up to 100 miles before re-application is needed, even in wet conditions.
It should therefore be a very versatile lube – ideal for summer dust and winter gloop, all while keeping your drivetrain running sweet.
