Cycling stars have once again got behind the Champions of CycleSport Dinner event, with big names set to attend in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research.
Organised annually, the Champions of CycleSport Dinner is now in its third year. Last year's event raised £180,000 towards its work helping sick babies and children. It will be held at London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club on 28 November and a few tables are still available for this year's hot-ticket event.
The dinner gives a unique opportunity for cycling enthusiasts to rub shoulders with some of the stars of the sport. Irish road racing legend Sean Kelly is the latest confirmed guest and joins a star-studded line-up that includes Sir Dave Brailsford, Chris Boardman MBE, Jody Cundy MBE, Roger Hammond, Ross Edgar, Andy Tennant and rising star on the women’s racing scene, Hannah Barnes. One guest shall remain anonymous until the night itself, being described only as a top-secret cycling megastar.
Guests will also have a chance to bid in a live auction full of highly coveted and exclusive cycling goodies, including a Team Sky hospitality package for the finale of the 2014 Tour de France, a Tour winner’s jersey signed by Chris Froome and a day’s ride out with Jody Cundy MBE. There will also be a chance to bid for an exclusive painting of Sir Chris Hoy, donated by artist Paul Oz and signed by Chris himself.
