DT Swiss has issued a stop-use notice on select ERC, CRC and HEC endurance and gravel wheels manufactured and delivered from 1 September 2024 onwards.
This comes after reports of spontaneous delamination of the rim flange, significantly compromising the wheels' structural integrity.
The wheel brand says that due to this damage, there is an increased risk of accidents that could lead to "property damage, serious injury, or death".
The cause is yet to be identified, with an investigation underway to provide answers.

DT Swiss ERC, CRC and HEC models with rim heights of 35mm and 45mm, and DT Swiss IDs higher than 2750000 are covered by the notice, with owners asked not to ride on them until the problem is identified.
It’s unclear whether the wheels will be recalled, with DT Swiss saying it will inform customers about the necessary measures once the investigation concludes – these may range from inspection to product replacement.
The brand has created a landing page on its website that enables you to enter your DT Swiss ID number to see if your wheels are affected.
